Little Helper

Amelia LOVES helping out.  Especially in the kitchen.  She especially likes emptying the dishwasher.  I gladly let her help out at home because it means I don't have to bend over as much...Oma also lets her help out.  Luckily, this time, I had my camera handy.  :)

Much easier for Amelia to empty out the top rack if it is on the floor... :)

The big bottle

Amelia REALLY likes to drink out of big bottles.  Whenever she sees one, she flips out and wants to drink out of it. :)

YUM!
So proud

New Glasses

Amelia broke my glasses last week.  Yeah...it was pretty much my fault.  I left them on the couch, so that made them a new toy for her.  They were 4 or 5 years old, so I really did need new ones...so I am getting them a few months earlier than I was thinking.  It was kind of cute when she did break them...I heard the snap and then she started saying "oopala" (oopsie)...but in this really cute Amelia voice.  I couldn't really get mad at her because, well, I left them where I shouldn't have...and she was just so stinking cute.

Anywho...at the glasses stores here, you can take a few frames home with you so you can have friends and family let you know what they think.  Well, Amelia really wanted to get in on the action and try some on too.  So stinking cute!!

Trying a new pair on...
Seeing how she looks in them
I think she likes them!!

Kinder Tournen Fasching

Amelia takes part in Kinder Tournen (Children's tumbling) once a week.  The week before Fasching (carnival or Mardi Gras), they had a little Faschings party.  Well, they could dress up.

What the Germans do for Fasching is dress up..and well, have parades, but more on that later.  I have no idea what the dressing up is for.  My friend AstroYoga, a fellow expat and good friend, and we just couldn't figure it out.  Oh well.

But, Amelia was a little ballerina.  My mom made the tutu and she was just so stinking cute in it, I had to dress her up in it.  So sweet.

Sleep...Oh how I miss you

And now, let the pity party begin...

I have no idea what is going on with Amelia, but no matter what I seem to do, she is rocking and rolling and ready for the day at 5:30ish, give or take 15 minutes.  Seriously.  Every. Single. Day.  No giving mommy or daddy a break.

Well, ok.  Let's be honest.  Markus is in Dusseldorf with the Musikzug from Saturday until early Tuesday morning, so Daddy is definitely getting a break.   I'm trying hard not to be jealous of his time to be out and about with friends, do whatever he wants, go to bed when he wants, him getting to sleep in (even though he went to bed last night at 3 and woke up at 8:45).  But I have to admit, it is quite hard NOT to be jealous.

This is his hobby, and I accept that.  But it is just hard on such a lack of sleep.  I am jealous through and through.  I know what I want for Mother's Day this year.  A night or two of uninterrupted sleep.  Most likely won't happen, but one can always hope right. ;)

However, it is awesome that I am in Hirschau this weekend, so Oma watched after Amelia this morning so that I could go and lay back down.  Bless her.  I was only able to sleep for about 20 or so minutes because I had already had about 2 cups of pretty strong coffee.

So, today, coffee is my best friend.  I know I'll give Amelia a bath tonight, so she'll pass out around 7 with no problems, and then I'm going to crawl into bed, too.

Ok, pity party is over....for now anyways.
