A good start...
Last night was horrid. Amelia woke up roughly a million times, and took forever to get back to sleep. I'm exhausted. I was thinking that today was going to be total crap. Markus had to leave for work early, so while he shaved, I walked over to get the bread for the morning. Still in my mood, I left a bit earlier so that I would have a couple minutes to myself in the nice, crisp, cold morning air. It was wonderful and exactly what I needed. I was also greeted with this....
So, with something like this to greet you in the morning, how can the day turn out bad? *knock on wood*

A photo story
Today, while waiting for Markus to come home, this is what happened....
Amelia: "Mom! Why won't you give me booby right now! I want it! I want it!"
Me: "No love. Not right now. It isn't time"
Amelia: "Waaaaaaaaaaaa...."
Amelia: "I'm moving this tantrum to the floor..."
Charlie: "No worries mom. I've got this one covered. Here, Amelia. Here's my frisbee."
Amelia: "Thanks bro. I feel better."
Amelia: "Yay! A frisbee"
Charlie: "Be careful with it...it's my favorite toy!"
Amelia: "No worries bro."
Amelia: "Wait...I remember I wanted booby! Right now! Waaaaaaaa!"
Amelia: "Oh look! Chestnuts in the shoebox! I'll throw them around. There, that's fun!"
Amelia: "Sorry mom for my little tantrums there. Have a beer."
Me: "Thanks my little sweet pea! Mommy could really use that, but it is only 2 in the afternoon...maybe later..."

Peanut Butter Cookies
YUM! That is all I have to say about these cookies that Amelia and I made today. Soooooo good. No, seriously. These things are deadly. Amelia ate one real quick. She likes them too. Charlie likes them...he got the crumbs that Amelia dropped on the floor. The only one that doesn't like them is Markus...but he is odd and doesn't like peanut butter.
So, anywho...these cookies were great. If you are looking for a good recipe for peanut butter cookies, then look no further!
Amelia was a big help too. And by big help, I mean she helped spread the sugar everywhere. Which was pretty darn cute...and it kept her quiet and occupied.

Feeding Charlie
Amelia has a new game. Feeding Charlie. Well, throwing his food around the living room and have him run around and eat the pieces up...this keeps them entertained for a while...but then Charlie tends to lose interest real quick. He's they type of dog that will eat when he is hungry, and if he isn't, even if there is food there, he won't eat. That's how he rolls. So, here are a couple of videos of the kids playing well together. :)
...and now Charlie is the party pooper...

A New Petting Zoo
Today, my friend, Claudia, and I decided to take the kids to a petting zoo near Weiden. It is about 5 minutes from our house and I can't believe I haven't been there yet. Markus has, but on the day he took Amelia, I had to go to the doctor's...silly strep. Well, today was gorgeous...ok, it was sunny but there was this horrid cold wind. Other than the wind, it was wonderful. It is quite a quaint little petting zoo. They have a little biergarten and a playground right next to it...which is quite nice. However, they are closed on Mondays...damn. Next time.
They have Emus, pigs, sheep of sorts, goats, alpacas and even a kangaroo. They'll be getting some raccoons, some type of fox and some skunks next year. Yeah, probably won't go to see the skunks.

Doing a bit of playing, waiting for the others to get there
Mulch is a lot of fun to play in...
ROCKS!
